ABM is currently recruiting for a Part-Time, Permanent Cleaning Supervisor for an immediate start in Loretto College in Coleraine, County Londonderry.
Purpose:
Assist with the smooth running of the business on a day to day basis. Support the ABM Management team to meet the customer’s needs. Drive forward quality in standards, maintaining excellence and compliance to policy & regulatory requirements at all times.
Shift Time:
- Monday-Friday
- 17.5 hours from 2:15 PM to 5:45 PM
Key responsibilities
Service Provision:
- Ensure the delivery of services to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of the customer, within the scope of the contract.
- React in a timely manner to any issues that arise and support their resolution.
- Continually assess the need for and monitor the availability and serviceability of all uniforms, site-specific clothing, PPE, equipment and materials.
- Appropriate allocation of staff to ensure site schedule and specification are met.
People Supervisor and Development:
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and daily management of Operatives.
- Manage attendance appropriately, and escalate issues to Line Manager.
- Be dynamic in leading the team to deliver best in class customer service.
- Create a harmonious working environment and proactively identify conflict at the source, escalating as appropriate.
- Maintain a fair and inclusive working environment, free from discrimination or prejudice.
- Ensure you are visible and contactable whilst on duty.
Business Administration:
- Ensure time sheets are completed correctly and on time.
- Ensure that all records relating to employment are completed and sent to appropriate Manager.
- Manage the holiday schedule for staff, whilst maintaining required levels of service provision.
- Validate proof of delivery on orders received, escalate any discrepancies and support resolution.
Quality Management and Health and Safety:
- Ensure and promote a safe working environment.
- Carry out training, including tool box training, where appropriate.
- Be aware of all company policies and procedures, as per employee handbook.
- Report all incidents, accidents and near-misses in line with policy.
- Complete relevant audits and questionnaires, and take remedial actions where improvement is required.
- Update site manual as requested.
Other:
- Support the growth of the business, where possible, by up-selling and cross-selling to the customer and by passing on potential sales leads,
- Support any customer initiatives which could lead to longer term benefits to both the customer and ABM.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as reasonably requested by a member of the ABM Management team.
Skills and Experience
Essentia Criteria:
- Willing to work flexible hours.

- Ability to pass security requirements/vetting.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Good written and spoken English.
Desired Experience:
- School leaving standard qualifications in Maths and English.
- Experience within the relevant industry, or a similar environment.
- Experience of staff supervision.
- Experience working within a results-oriented environment.
- Time spent in a customer service environment.
- Full clean driving licence.

- IT literate including knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
