We're looking for a dependable and proactive cleaner who takes pride in their work and enjoys working independently.
The Role
This is a varied role involving the cleaning and preparation of vacant and occupied properties to a high standard.
Duties may include
- Deep cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
- Carpet cleaning using company equipment
- Cleaning appliances, windows (internally) and hard floors
- Removing cobwebs, dust and debris
- Restocking cleaning supplies
- Completing quality checklists and reporting maintenance issues
- Carrying out basic property preparation tasks where required, such as: - Replacing toilet seats - Hanging or replacing shower curtains and curtain poles - Fitting light bulbs and batteries - Installing smoke or carbon monoxide alarm batteries - Replacing small fixtures and fittings - Assembling or moving light furniture
- Working across multiple client sites within York
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to company standards
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Professional in their communication
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and carrying out minor maintenance tasks
- Able to follow written instructions and company procedures
- Practical, resourceful and able to solve straightforward problems independently
- Trustworthy and respectful of clients' homes and company property
- Physically able to carry out cleaning duties and move cleaning equipment where required
Important Information
Please only apply if you are comfortable with the following:
- Working at different locations across York with company provided equiments.
- Using and caring for company cleaning equipment.
- Completing basic equipment troubleshooting where required before faults are reported.
- Storing a reasonable amount of company equipment between shifts where agreed, for which a monthly storage allowance is payable.
- Communicating promptly with management regarding any issues affecting your work.
- Accepting that working hours are dependent on client demand, as this is a zero-hours contract.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle or own means of transport.
- Previous professional cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment where required.
