Are you looking for a rewarding and fulfilling role in a busy yet supportive environment. Our GP surgery, serving over 15,000 patients, is thriving and expanding. Due to our ongoing success, we’ve recently welcomed two new receptionists and are now seeking more dedicated individuals to join our friendly team.
Position: GP Surgery Receptionist
Hours: 20–30 hours per week. Working days will vary and will be spread across Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 6.30pm. Typical day 8.30-6.30 or 8-1 or 1.30-6.30.
A rota will be shared in advance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls, or handling queries
- Scan documents, read code and manage patient records
- Handle patient inquiries with professionalism
- Process prescriptions efficiently
- Register new patients
- Summarise medical information
- Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system
- Additional duties as required
We use the EMIS Web system, so experience with it is a plus, but we will provide full training to the right candidate.
