We’re currently hiring for a full-time Picking Supervisor at our Somercotes depot. The role will include supervising, overseeing, and picking orders ready to be delivered the following day. You will be working as part of a key supportive team within the depot, where you will take ownership and supervise a team of employees to aid in the process of picking a customer’s order with good attention to detail and can work well in a busy environment.

What will you be doing as a Picking Supervisor?
- Picking and preparing customer’s orders ready for dispatch in an organised fashion
- Supervising the Picker team members
- Picking customers’ orders using handheld equipment
- Picking customers’ orders directly into roll cages
- Organising weekly shift ROTAs
- Stock replenishment following correct procedures
- Taking responsibility for the zone that you work in
- Ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained
- Supporting other departments as required
- Adhering to, and ensuring others are adhering to the Companies Health and Safety Policies
What do you need to be a Picking Supervisor?
- Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability
- Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team to guide them
- Confidence working alongside the depot management team
- Good time management as you will be working at speed
- Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets
- Able to work quickly and to deadlines
- Confidence using handheld computerised tills and barcode scanners
- Forklift Truck licenced is preferable but not essential.
What’s on offer?
- Rate of pay: £12.74 per hour plus supervisory uplift of 70p and eventually keyholder uplift after training of 40p.
- Contract Type: full-time position working 40 hours per week:
- Sunday – Thursday: 10:00am – 18:30pm
