Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about construction painting and decorating to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking as necessary before painting or decorating
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and client specifications
- Mix paints and colours accurately to match desired shades
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or a related field is desirable
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high standards of service
