Veterinary Surgeon - Aylesbury
Introduction
Our client, a thriving RCVS-accredited hospital, is seeking an enthusiastic, curious, and engaged Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join their large and experienced team. This well-established practice provides 24-hour care, supported by its own dedicated night team who also cover out-of-hours services for surrounding practices.
The network includes a well-equipped main hospital site and three satellite branches. The practice boasts impressive facilities including a CT scanner, advanced ultrasound and digital radiography equipment, endoscopy facilities, and an in-house laboratory staffed by dedicated laboratory technicians. The veterinary team includes multiple certificate holders across a wide range of disciplines, and they actively encourage professional development, fully supporting further training and postgraduate qualifications.
The culture within the practice promotes a supportive and collaborative environment, a just clinical culture, curiosity, continuous learning, and growth mindset thinking. Regular Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) meetings and Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine (EBVM) are integral to their approach.
The Role
This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week over a 4-day working week. The rota includes 1 in 7 weekends (which may vary slightly depending on team size), with 2 full days off in lieu for weekends worked.
