Chapel House Nursing Home is a are well established home providing care and support to people with a diagnosis of Dementia. The home has and excellent growing reputation and benefits from well established links with the community, and a good established staff team.
We are currently recruiting 1 part time housekeepers who will have cleaning and kitchen assistant responsibilities.
All shifts generally begin at 7am to 1pm week days and 9am to 1.30pm weekends. Weekend and week day work will be on rotation. the average hours per week. The average hours over 3 week period is 16.5.
Opportunities for overtime may be available.
The Housekeeper will involved cleaning all areas of the home and maintaining records of work completed. Experience of cleaning is desirable, but what is essential is a commitment to keep the home clean as part of a team. You must be able to read and follow instructions, follow data sheets, and complete records and enthusiastic, flexible, hard working, and can work well within a team. Your spoken English must be good, as well as comprehension, as currently all resident first language is English.
A caring and compassionate manner is also essential as you will come into contact with residents.
We will provide you with training and support for your role, starting with Induction Training and Shadow work, and then ongoing training and supervision.
