MCT Facilities Group LTD is seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundworker / Labourer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist with a range of groundwork, site preparation, maintenance, and general labouring duties across commercial and domestic projects.
The role requires someone with a strong work ethic, good practical skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with excavation and groundwork preparation
- Digging trenches and preparing foundations
- Laying kerbs, paving, slabs, and drainage systems
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
- General labouring and site clearance duties
- Assisting tradespeople
- Mixing materials such as concrete and mortar when required
- Ensuring work areas are clean, tidy, and safe
- Following all health & safety regulations and site procedures
- Operating hand tools and basic machinery (where trained)
RequirementsEssential:
- Previous experience in groundwork or labouring
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of site health & safety procedures
Desirable:
- Experience with drainage, paving, fencing, or landscaping
- Dumper/Roller tickets or plant machinery experience
- Full UK driving licence
- First Aid certification
- Valid CSCS Card
