Post: Employer Support for Unpaid Carers
Hours: 30 per week - 12 month contract
Location: Home based working in the Kirklees/ Calderdale area
Reports to: Service Manager
Salary: £27,500 FTE
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Carers Count Kirklees.
The role will aim to raise awareness of carers in the workplace across Calderdale and Kirklees employers. Focusing on working in partnership with employers to support with the development of carer support internally and encourage signposting externally to Carers Count and local support services for carers. Engagement initially will involve networking and making direct links either online or face to face.
Be confident in training delivery for employers to build awareness, support learning, highlight carers needs and challenges and understand the support available through the Carers Count services in Calderdale & Kirklees. Have a good understanding of internal support available for employers e.g. carers policy, champions, working carers passport, signposting. The aim is to encourage employers to support working carers stay in work, to improve moral, retention and reduce recruitment costs.
