DoubleTree by Hilton Nottingham Gateway is looking for a reliable, friendly, and customer-focused Night Porter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a varied hospitality role and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest service throughout the night.
As our Night Porter, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel overnight, supporting our guests while preparing the hotel for the following day.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up conference and meeting rooms to the required standards for events and functions.
- Provide professional and efficient bar service during the evening.
- Assist with reception duties, including checking guests in and out, answering telephone calls, handling reservations, and responding to guest enquiries.
- Carry out regular security and fire safety checks throughout the hotel.
- Ensure all public areas are clean, tidy, safe, and well presented.
- Support guests with any overnight requests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Complete overnight administrative tasks and hand over effectively to the morning team.
- Work as part of the hotel team to deliver the high standards expected of the DoubleTree by Hilton brand.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Is reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Is organised and able to manage a variety of tasks throughout the shift.
- Has previous experience in a hotel, reception, bar, or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential).
- Is flexible and available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
