Job Description
We are looking for an organised, commercially minded individual who is eager to learn and build a long-term career in commercial solar. In this role, you will support the delivery of commercial solar projects from signed order through to completion, working closely with our Sales, Design and Operations teams. You will build and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors and suppliers, help progress live opportunities, and learn every stage of project delivery along the way.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support the management of commercial solar projects from sale through to completion.
Assist with organising surveys, DNO applications, procurement and installation schedules.
Become a key point of contact for customers throughout project delivery.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, following any issues through until resolution and communicating updates with the wider team.
Maintain project plans, trackers and customer updates with complete accuracy.
Attend customer meetings and site visits alongside senior colleagues.
Support the sales team by chasing outstanding information and helping progress live opportunities.
Identify opportunities for additional solar phases, battery storage and EV charging.
Help generate repeat business and referrals through excellent customer service.
Learn every stage of commercial solar project delivery, with the aim of progressing into a Commercial Delivery Manager role.
Requirements & Skills
Be able to demonstrate an excellent level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
Clear and effective communication to answer customer enquiries and collaborate with team members.
Commercially aware with a proactive attitude and a genuine eagerness to learn.
Can work on own initiative, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Adaptable and Flexible to ensure the business operates effectively.
Be customer focused with an emphasis on the customer needs and goes beyond basic service expectations to help implement solutions.
Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
Full UK Driving Licence (or working towards one).
Team Player - Someone who encourages team unity through sharing information and expertise.
Desirable
Experience in customer service, account management, construction, utilities, recruitment or project coordination.
An interest in renewable energy or sustainability.
Previous administration or coordination experience.
Employee Benefits
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 9-5) with 30 mins lunch break each day.
