Boom Sports has been inspiring children through fun, active and educational services for over 10 years. We deliver high-quality sports coaching, wraparound childcare, holiday camps and children's parties across West London.
We're looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Office & Business Manager to become a key member of our leadership team.
This is a senior role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day office operations and supporting the wider growth and success of the business. Working closely with the Directors, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our services, supporting parents, schools and staff while taking ownership of HR administration, recruitment, finance administration, operational systems, customer service and business development.
We're looking for someone who can confidently take ownership, work independently and proactively identify solutions with minimal supervision. Previous experience in office management, business operations and HR administration is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Office & Business Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the office and administrative functions.
- Manage business systems, operational processes and company documentation.
- Maintain calendars, operational task boards (Monday.com) and internal workflows.
- Maintain attendance, finance and operational spreadsheets.
- Ensure company records, policies and resources remain accurate and up to date.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement better administrative processes.
- Monitor stock levels including uniforms, office supplies, sports equipment and party resources.
- Coordinate weekly food and resource orders.
Human Resources
- Act as the main HR point of contact for staff.
- Liaise with our external HR advisors (BrightHR).
- Coordinate disciplinary, grievance, sickness, absence and performance management processes.
- Prepare employment contracts, HR letters and supporting documentation.
- Maintain confidential employee records.
- Support onboarding and offboarding of employees.
- Coordinate staff inductions and mandatory compliance documentation.
- Prepare monthly payroll information and upload staff payslips.
Recruitment
- Create and advertise job vacancies across recruitment platforms.
- Manage the recruitment process from application through to interview.
- Review applications and shortlist suitable candidates.
- Conduct initial candidate screening.
- Request and follow up employment references.
- Support interview coordination and recruitment administration.
Parent & School Relationships
- Respond professionally to parent and school enquiries via telephone and email.
- Support parents with bookings and general enquiries.
- Liaise with schools regarding operational matters, staffing and daily registers.
- Communicate important operational updates to staff.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with schools and families.
Finance & Bookings
- Prepare school invoices and maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile payments and manage receipt documentation.
- Manage the MagicBooking platform, including activities, bookings and parent communications.
- Support financial reporting and administrative processes.
Marketing & Business Development
- Coordinate outreach to prospective schools and business partners.
- Support parent marketing and communication campaigns.
- Update website content and third-party listings.
- Write and publish weekly blog posts.
- Assist with developing new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Support the Directors in growing existing services and identifying new opportunities.
Logistics & Events
- Manage inventory of uniforms, sports equipment and office supplies.
- Coordinate logistics for holiday camps, wraparound care and children's parties.
- Source and book venues for parties and events.
- Ensure operational resources are available across all services.
About You
You'll be:

Essential Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an office management, operations or senior administration role.
- Previous HR administration experience.
- Experience supporting disciplinary, absence and employee relations processes.
- Recruitment and onboarding experience.
- Payroll or finance administration experience.
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within education, childcare or sport.
- Experience using , MagicBooking and BrightHR.
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable.
