We are looking for an exceptional Nursery Manager who can combine outstanding childcare knowledge with confident leadership, strong organisation and a genuine desire to build a nursery that children, families and staff love being part of.
This is more than a role overseeing ratios, rotas and paperwork.
We want a leader who can inspire a team, drive standards, build occupancy, create an outstanding parent experience and take real ownership of their nursery.
If you are passionate about Early Years but also commercially aware, highly organised and motivated by achieving results, we would love to hear from you.
The Role

You will:
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing nursery team
- Create a positive, professional and supportive culture where staff can thrive
- Ensure children receive consistently high-quality care, education and experiences
- Maintain excellent standards across safeguarding, welfare, health & safety and compliance
- Lead the implementation of the EYFS and ensure the curriculum is ambitious, engaging and appropriate for every child
- Maintain high standards of practice and ensure the nursery is always ready for Ofsted
- Build strong, trusted relationships with parents and families
- Manage staffing, deployment, rotas, holidays and nursery ratios effectively
- Recruit, induct, coach and develop team members
- Address performance issues confidently and professionally
- Monitor nursery occupancy and support initiatives to attract and retain families
- Ensure enquiries, visits and registrations receive an exceptional level of service
- Manage nursery resources and expenditure responsibly
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all regulatory and company requirements are met
- Work closely with senior leadership while taking genuine ownership of your nursery
Who We’re Looking For

You should have:

- A good understanding of Ofsted requirements and what high-quality Early Years provision looks like
- Strong people-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- The confidence to have difficult conversations when necessary
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive approach – you see what needs doing and make it happen
- The ability to develop and motivate others
- High professional standards and attention to detail
Previous experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Nursery Manager, Early Years Manager or Senior Early Years Leader would be particularly advantageous.
