Burmatex® is one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of contract carpet tiles and planks.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Planning Coordinator to join our Supply Chain Team within the Commercial Department.
Job Purpose
The Production Planning Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth planning and execution of production schedules, maintaining inventory availability, and coordinating activities across production, purchasing, sales, and warehousing functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring customer demand is met efficiently while optimising production capacity and inventory levels.
Principal Responsibilities
- Maintain production schedules based on inventory levels and capacity
- Coordinate with departments (e.g. purchasing, manufacturing) to align production timelines
- Generate and release work orders to the production floor
- Place purchase orders on NetSuite system and liaise with suppliers regarding confirmations and delivery dates
- Monitor inventory levels of key raw materials and work with purchasing to ensure raw materials and components are available for scheduled production runs
- Act as the liaison between production, purchasing, sales, and warehousing team
- Track KPIs for Supply Chain end of month report
- Participate in daily production meeting and collaborate with relevant teams to develop solutions to keep production on track
Personal Specification
- Enthusiastic, proactive and approachable
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Thorough attention to detail
- Must be able to work as part of a team whilst also using their own initiative
- Ideally comes from a Production/Manufacturing background
- Needs to be at intermediate level of Excel
- Experience with NetSuite/Oracle is ideal
Working Hours and Location
This role is an onsite role 5 days a week
The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with 1hr lunch

Pay: £26,500.00-£27,500.00 per year
