Overview
We are seeking dedicated self-employed Gardener to look after gardens of existing, established clients. This role offers the flexibility of working independently while delivering high-quality gardening services. Your expertise and the use of various tools will be essential to ensure high standards are maintained.
This Self-employed position provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your gardening skills while enjoying the independence of self-employment.
Duties
- Use hand tools such as pruners, spades, and rakes to shape and maintain plants, shrubs, and trees with precision and care
- Operate power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers to efficiently complete landscaping tasks
- Cultivate garden beds by planting new flora, removing weeds, and applying products as required to promote healthy growth
- Perform landscape maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, edging borders, mulching beds, and pruning for aesthetic appeal
- Monitor plant health regularly, diagnosing issues related to pests or diseases and applying appropriate treatments based on horticultural best practices
- Maintain detailed records of work completed, including project notes and client preferences to ensure consistent quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems effectively and safely. Must have own gardening tools.
- Knowledge of plant care techniques, soil management, pest control methods, and sustainable gardening practices
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Valid self-employment status with the ability to provide necessary insurances or certifications as required
- Must have own vehicle and tools
- Must be insured.
