Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible service. Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Take orders from guests promptly and accurately, ensuring excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Manage stock levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist with inventory control
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner to create a welcoming environment
- Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is highly desirable, particularly within a restaurant or bar setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is beneficial
- Strong skills in serving customers efficiently while maintaining professionalism
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
- Excellent communication skills and a personable demeanour are essential for creating positive guest interactions
