Job Purpose:
The Dispatch Storeperson is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, stock control, and dispatch of goods while maintaining the integrity of inventory records within the Javelin system. The role requires attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to resolve stock and system discrepancies independently to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming goods and accurately receipt all deliveries into the Javelin inventory management system.
- Verify delivered quantities against purchase orders and delivery documentation, identifying and reporting any discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve stock and system issues while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Use sound judgement to make informed decisions when discrepancies, damaged goods, or unexpected issues arise.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Javelin system and understand how transactions impact inventory, dispatch, purchasing, and other operational processes.
- Co-ordinate dispatch processes to ensure high levels of On Time Delivery
- Ensure stock movements are processed accurately to maintain inventory integrity and operational efficiency.
- Support the dispatch process by preparing, checking, and issuing goods accurately and on time.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential issues before they affect warehouse operations or customer deliveries.
- Adapt priorities and workload effectively in response to changing operational demands and deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to resolve stock-related issues.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with all company health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and prevent recurring stock or system issues.
Key Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of the Javelin ERP system and its impact on dispatch, purchasing, production and stock control.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to investigate, analyse and resolve stock or system discrepancies.
- Sound judgement and decision-making when unexpected situations arise.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and end-to-end dispatch and inventory processes.
- Ability to understand not only how tasks are completed, but why they are completed and their impact on downstream processes.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

It is also desirable if you have: Warehouse system experience. Full javelin training will be provided.
Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7am – 5pm (38 hours)
Successful candidate will start at our main site on Ballymena Rd, Ballymoney and when fully trained will move to our Powder Coating site on the Vow Rd, Ballymoney where you will be based full-time.
