Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Manager to oversee the site of our kids holiday camp. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with experience working with children and in childcare settings.
This role involves coordinating activities, supervising staff, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment for all. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences while maintaining organisational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own camp location
- Lead and supervise team members, ensuring high standards of childcare and safety
- Coordinate activities tailored to children’s developmental needs, ensuring all staff are following the timetables set out. Activities include sports, activities, outdoor games, arts and crafts etc..
- Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and external partners
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Oversee the organisation of camp timetable, resources, and facilities
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promotes teamwork and respect among children and staff
- Drive organisational initiatives to enhance programme quality and camper satisfaction
Experience
- Proven management experience within a childcare or educational setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team
- Experience working with children across various age groups, preferably within nursery or early childhood education environments
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and health & safety standards
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting equipment or staff as needed
- Previous experience in organising outdoor activities or camps is advantageous
