Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bricklayer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures made of brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will contribute to building durable, aesthetically pleasing structures that meet safety standards and project specifications. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Prepare surfaces and materials by mixing mortar, cutting bricks or stones with hand tools or power tools.
- Lay bricks, stones, blocks, and other masonry units with precision to ensure stability and aesthetic appeal.
- Use a variety of hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to execute detailed masonry work.
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and efficiently during construction tasks.
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, welders, and other tradespeople to coordinate project activities.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards throughout each phase of construction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or related construction fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Knowledge of masonry techniques including bricklaying and stonework installation.
- Ability to operate roofing equipment or assist in roofing projects is a plus.
- Basic carpentry skills for framing or structural adjustments are desirable.
- Familiarity with welding processes can be advantageous for specialized structural repairs.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor in various weather conditions.

Pay: £27.00-£28.00 per hour
