Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Night Porter to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and security of our premises during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and janitorial duties, ensuring that the property remains in excellent condition while providing a secure environment throughout the night. This position offers an opportunity to work independently within a professional setting, contributing to the smooth operation of our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of all designated areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ensure all communal spaces, corridors, and facilities are kept clean, hygienic, and presentable overnight
- Monitor security systems and perform regular security checks to safeguard premises against unauthorised access or incidents
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the relevant department for resolution
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and security patrols during shifts
- Assist with organising stock supplies and restocking cleaning materials as required
- Respond calmly and efficiently to any emergencies or unforeseen situations that may arise during the night shift
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Good communication skills to report issues clearly and effectively
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends if necessary
- A responsible attitude towards security protocols and safety procedures
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific site requirements
Pay: From £14.50 per hour
