Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves supporting the efficient movement, storage, and management of goods within our warehouse facility. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth operations through handling materials, operating equipment, and maintaining safety standards. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, and familiarity with warehouse management systems will be advantageous. Goods-In / Booking-In Operatives
- Initial training: 8:00am – 4:00pm for 2 weeks
- Permanent shift after training: 10:00am – 6:00pm
- Responsible for booking in goods and supporting the Goods-In team
- This is an important role supporting the smooth running of the warehouse and preparing stock for put away
Duties
- Handling materials including loading, unloading, and organising stock items
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently
- Managing inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
- Preparing shipments by picking, packing, and verifying orders accurately
- Receiving incoming goods and ensuring proper storage and stock rotation
- Assisting with stock replenishment and organisation of storage areas
- Conducting quality control checks to maintain product standards
- Performing mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance when necessary
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times during daily operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehousing or logistics environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment operation, including forklifts (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems for inventory control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in picking, packing, and stock management
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and quality control processes
- Physical fitness to work in a physically demanding environment throughout shifts
