We have an exciting opportunity within our Supported and Inclusive Learning department, teaching in our Learning for Work area. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with experience of working with young people who have learning difficulties and may present with challenging behaviours.
The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting learners to develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to prepare for employment and their future lives.
As a Specialist Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment as part of an established and dedicated team. You will have the ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential.
You will be enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for your profession, and able to support learners to develop the skills they need to be meaningfully involved in their adult lives.
We are looking for someone who can deliver Functional Skills Maths and English from Entry Level 1 through to Level 1. There will also be opportunities to deliver other subjects across the week, as we continue to diversify and enrich the curriculum offer for our learners.

A full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above (or be willing to work towards obtaining one). If you do not hold a suitable teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain this as part of our investment in your professional development.
- Qualified in Vocational area to Level 5 minimum or equivalent.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in maths and English (GCSE grade 4 or above, GCSE grade C or above etc)
Applications from candidates with a background in teaching in an FE environment would be desirable but not essential.
