Location: Multiple offices across South, East & West Wales including Cardiff, Caerphilly, Barry , Bridgend, Swansea & Blackwood / Hybrid Working Available.
Salary: Starting from £24,700 per annum, with a higher salary readily negotiable depending on experience

Join Our Team
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Civil Legal Aid Support Officer to join our busy and expanding civil legal aid team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop or further their career within legal aid administration and compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm's legal aid work across a range of civil legal aid matters.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for and supported with
- Preparing and submitting civil legal aid applications.
- Managing legal aid certificates and amendments.
- Assisting with legal aid billing and payment claims.
- Monitoring compliance with Legal Aid Agency contract requirements.
- Supporting fee earners in matters relating to legal aid eligibility and funding.
- Maintaining accurate records and case management systems.
- Liaising with the Legal Aid Agency and clients where required.
- Assisting with audits, reporting requirements and contractual compliance.

About You
Essential Skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Experience
Experience of:
- Civil Legal Aid contracts and compliance.
- Preparation of legal aid applications.
- Legal aid billing and payment claims.
- Working within a legal practice or legal aid environment.
However, previous experience is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
