Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to individuals in various settings such as assisted living facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals in need
- Help with heavy lifting and mobility assistance for those requiring aid
- Drive individuals to appointments or outings as necessary
- Specialise in senior care, hospice care, dementia care, or childcare based on assignment
- Administer first aid when needed and ensure the safety and well-being of those under your care
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a care-related role is required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and willingness to undergo further training if necessary
- Familiarity with providing support in settings like nursing homes or assisted living facilities
- Compassionate nature and excellent communication skills
- Valid driver's licence for transportation needs
