Part-Time Chef

We are looking for a part-time Chef to join our busy, family-run farm shop café.
At Farmshop at Cranswick, we are passionate about serving fresh, homemade food using quality local ingredients. Our café is a popular destination for breakfasts, lunches, daily specials, cakes, and takeaway food, and we’re looking for someone who takes pride in producing delicious food and working as part of a friendly team.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard
- Assist with daily specials, soups, sandwiches, and light meals
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Follow food safety procedures and stock rotation
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Support the wider kitchen and café team when required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a chef or cook in a café, restaurant, or similar environment
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
- A positive, reliable, and flexible attitude
- Food hygiene certificate is desirable. A comprehensive understanding practises of current food safety laws
- Passion for fresh, homemade food and quality ingredients
Hours
- Part-time
- Includes weekdays and weekends
- Hours to be discussed and can offer flexibility for the right candidate
