We have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor or Legal Executive to assist our Dispute Resolution team with a range of commercial and civil litigation cases. The team acts for businesses, charities, institutions, and high net worth individuals up and down the country on a broad range of litigation matters. We act in a variety of specialist sectors and markets.
What you’ll be doing
You will be assisting the partners and senior lawyers on a range of litigation matters with a focus on disputed wills and trusts as well as exposure to other work types such as commercial litigation.
Our lawyers are encouraged to develop a specialism and develop their own niche in a chosen area of law. You will have day to day conduct of files, and we will help you build a caseload and develop your skills as a litigator.
Tozers is nationally regarded and you can expect to have exposure to a broad range of matters for a variety of clients. You can expect to be part of a committed and friendly team who will help you develop your skills as a lawyer.
Our team works flexibly but meets regularly for training and general team building as well as working 2 days in the office (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Initially you will be office-based in Exeter to help you familiarise yourself with the team, our work, and the support available to you.
In time, you can expect to be given the freedom to develop your work and reputation in the local community and wider and to be involved in our various charitable and profile-raising activities. We invest in our teams, and we are committed to giving all colleagues the opportunity to reach their full potential.
What we’re looking for
You will be a good communicator, enjoy working as part of a team and will be as committed to delivering the highest standards of client care as we are.
What you’ll have
You will be a newly qualified solicitor or Legal Executive with around 0-5 years PQE and have a practical, proactive approach to resolving disputes. Ideally, you will have some experience of contentious trusts and probate although this is not essential.
