Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of clients while promoting their independence. This role requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to adapt to various situations, making a positive impact on the lives of those you care for. The areas covered are Alfreton, Blackwell, Higham, Shirland, Clay cross, Morton, Pilsey, Wessington. Ideally someone who lives between Alfreton and Clay cross or surrounding areas due the locations of the clients.
I would prefer someone that had flexibility to assist with sickness, holidays and morning and lunches, teas and bed calls, however, Must be able to cover a full days/weekends doing morning, lunches, teas and beds. A rota will be provided
DBS and liability insurance and training certificates will be required. Must be a driver due to the location of the clients and ideally live between Alfreton and Clay cross areas.
Duties include:
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Help with mobility and physical exercises as required, moving and handling training preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in hobbies or interests.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records of client progress.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care giving role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to caregiving is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in various situations.
