Security Officer – Telford Area
Guardwatch Security UK Limited is a long-established SIA Approved Contractor providing professional security services across the UK.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Security Officer to work a site in the Telford area.
Shift Pattern:
- 4 on / 4 off rotation
- 06:00 – 18:00 (12-hour shifts)
- Additional shifts maybe available at nearby sites
Pay Rate:
- £13.10 per hour
- Double pay on Bank Holidays
Key Requirements
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervisor)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good IT literacy
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable, and trustworthy approach
- Full 5-year checkable employment and education history
Previous experience in security, gatehouse operations, or weighbridge duties is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Access control and managing unauthorised persons
- Supporting emergency procedures and evacuations
- Operating the weighbridge
- Monitoring CCTV systems
- Conducting searches in accordance with company procedures
- Reception and administrative duties
- Carrying out regular site patrols
