The Lion at Malpas is a busy dining pub with 16 boutique bedrooms and a stunning function suite, at the heart of the village of Malpas.
We’re proud to serve fresh, high-quality food with genuine hospitality — and we’re looking for a passionate Breakfast Chef to join our friendly kitchen team.
As our Breakfast Chef, you’ll be responsible for creating delicious, well-presented breakfasts that set the tone for our guests’ day. You’ll also support the main kitchen team with prep for restaurant service.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation at breakfast service
- Assisting with daily kitchen prep and supporting the wider team
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and stock rotation procedures
- Working confidently on your own during breakfast service when needed
- Delivering excellent guest satisfaction through consistency and attention to detail
About you:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A strong team player with a positive attitude
- Experienced in a fresh food kitchen (breakfast experience preferred)
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Passionate about cooking and keen to develop their skills
