Job Summary
Following the expansion of our company, we are seeking professional PSV Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating passenger service vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient transportation services. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and customer service. The PSV Driver will play a vital role in maintaining smooth operations and delivering exceptional service to our clients. You will be driving 16-seat minibuses.
We are offering guaranteed 30 hour contracts split between private hire and school services.
Priority will be given to applicants who hold a KCC drivers card, or an Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger service 16-seater minibuses, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and functionality
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing excellent customer service throughout the journey
- Plan routes efficiently to meet schedules and optimise fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members using clear English
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents or vehicle issues
- Adhere to all safety protocols and driving regulations at all times
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the maintenance team
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with passenger transport experience
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid D or D1 category driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Experience in driving various types of passenger service vehicles (buses, coaches) is highly desirable
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area is advantageous

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
