Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during deliveries
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy loads is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
Pay: £10.00-£15.00 per hour
