We are a small family run building firm seeking a motivated and dependable Labourer to join our team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various construction projects, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple construction disciplines while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of waste and securing tools and equipment
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Pick up & delivery of materials to site, as instructed
- Support skilled tradespeople in their tasks
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks like cutting, drilling, and assembling materials
- Help with the installation of building components
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or related manual labour roles is essential
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is advantageous
- Ability to read schematics or technical drawings is beneficial
- Willingness to learn & use initiative
- Must have full clean driving licence
