Located in Glasgow's East End, The Sandmyle offers boutique accommodation, a welcoming bar, and is home to La Cabra Tapas. The venue provides a welcoming setting for a variety of occasions.
Events take place across two dedicated spaces - the function suite within The Sandmyle and our separate events venue - hosting weddings, celebrations, private parties and corporate functions throughout the year.
Due to increasing demand, we are looking to expand our team with hardworking, reliable and experienced individuals. This is a zero-hours role with shifts offered on an as-and-when-required basis, making it ideal for those seeking flexible work around existing commitments.
Please note that hours are not guaranteed and will be offered based on event schedules and business requirements. Flexibility is essential, with most shifts taking place during evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and assist with event registration or seating arrangements
- Provide high-quality guest services, addressing enquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Support event setup and breakdown, including managing equipment and materials
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of event spaces throughout the event duration
- Coordinate with management to ensure event operations run smoothly
- Assist with managing guest flow and crowd control as required
- Respond promptly to any issues or emergencies during events, following health and safety protocols
- Support the management team in delivering a seamless experience for all attendees
Experience
- Assisting with room set-ups and event preparation
- Serving food and beverages
- Providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Supporting the smooth running of weddings, functions and events
What We're Looking For
- Previous hospitality or events experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual
