Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our shipping team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper packing techniques are employed to prevent damage during transit.
- Utilise the warehouse management system for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
- Participate in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately.
- Engage in picking and packing orders according to specifications, ensuring timely fulfilment of customer requests.
- Maintain an organised workspace by stocking supplies and keeping areas clean and free of hazards.
- Conduct quality control checks on products prior to packing to ensure they meet company standards.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in roles involving materials handling, picking, and packing.
- Knowledge of piercings and jewellery is preferred due to the nature of the products and vast number of products stocked
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes is advantageous.
- Experience using warehouse management systems will be beneficial for tracking inventory efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail is essential to ensure quality control throughout the packing process.
