Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Youth Worker to support and engage young people within our community programmes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a positive environment, encouraging personal development, and providing mentorship to youth. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals passionate about making a difference in young people's lives through organised activities and supportive guidance.
Duties
- Facilitate engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of young people, promoting social skills and confidence.
- Provide mentorship and support to youth, acting as a positive role model.
- Assist in planning and delivering educational programmes
- Support behavioural management strategies to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external organisations to coordinate programmes and events.
- Monitor attendance and behaviour, maintaining accurate records of participation and progress.
- Encourage participation in team-building exercises, sports, arts, or other recreational activities.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within youth work or educational settings.
- Knowledge of teaching methods and mentoring techniques suitable for diverse age groups.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities effectively.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Successful candidate will need to be available in the afternoon/ evenings.

Pay: £12.50-£17.00 per hour
