Transport Coordinator
This is a superb opportunity for a Transport Coordinator to join the business through this period of growth.
The Role
- Ensuring company drivers are adhering to tachograph rules and vehicle checks.
- Understanding the rules and requirements for driver hours and abiding by those.
- Knowledge of weights and ensuring we are compliant when planning routes.
- Working within all Company Health & Safety and quality guidelines.
- Allocation of jobs to drivers using our own planning system.
- Answering phone and query resolution.
- Providing information to Supervisors & co-workers by telephone, email, or in-person.
- Administration for the drivers such as delivery notes and goods received.
- Assist Transport Manager in Infringement meetings, taking notes.
- Administration of all traffic offense including getting drivers to sign salary deduction forms.
- Identifying and allocation of vehicles to new drivers ensuring they are prepared.
- Creating relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
The Person
- Meticulous attention to details.
- Experience in transport planning.
- Health and safety aware.
- Knowledge of UK traffic laws.
- Confident with communicating via telephone, face-to-face and email.
- Excellent computer literacy skills.
- Self-motivating and enthusiastic team player.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and hard working

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Heanor, Derbyshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Transport Administration : 2 years (preferred)
