We are looking for an experienced and reliable Floor Layer to join our growing team delivering high-quality flooring installations and repairs across social housing properties in Tower Hamlets.
This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £38,000 per year, with the opportunity to increase your earnings through optional weekend overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace a variety of floor coverings, including vinyl, safety flooring, sheet vinyl, carpet tiles, laminate, and cap & cove flooring.
- Prepare subfloors, including screeding, latexing, and making good surfaces before installation.
- Carry out flooring works in occupied and void social housing properties.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide excellent customer service while working in tenants' homes.
- Complete job documentation accurately and report any issues to the site supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Floor Layer.
- Experience working within social housing, responsive repairs, or planned maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to fit a range of domestic and commercial floor coverings.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Card.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Manual Handling.
- Working at Height.
- DBS Check (or willingness to obtain one).
