Join our supportive team of Business Change Commissioning Managers, to manage the review and delivery of health and social care strategic commissioning priorities and services, delivering positive outcomes for adults and young people who use services, their families and carers, whilst ensuring value for money for the Council and NHS.
You’ll be expected to work from our offices at least 2 days a week, with Wednesday being the team day at Halford House. You’ll have flexibility to work remotely on other days during the week. You’ll be required to attend regular team meetings online and in person within council offices.
You’ll work closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally forging relationships for the Council. Delivering our vision, in partnership with care providers, care staff, NHS colleagues, and those who draw on care and support and their carers. Working closely with the Integrated Board Lead Officer and other officers, you’ll support the team in delivering strategic commissioning objectives and other key projects to support the health and care system.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Delivering our vision, in partnership with providers, care staff, NHS and those who draw on care and support, with the guidance of the Integrated Board Lead Officer.
You’ll contribute to improving the outcomes for adults and children living in Leicester. As a strategic thinker you will be contributing towards the development and implementation of strategic commissioning priorities including our Health, Care and Wellbeing Strategy to enhance our integration arrangements.
The post will focus on joint commissioning activity between health and social care, including change management and co-ordination of the Better Care Fund. This role will ensure shared ownership of priorities and navigating complex organisational environments to support the successful implementation of joint commissioning strategies and partnership-led initiatives.
What you’ll need
We are looking for experience of commissioning and project management in health and social care. We need you to have strong change management and outstanding communication skills. You’ll be able to work effectively with people who use services, respecting and supporting people’s experiences, lifestyles and backgrounds. This is how we ensure we meet service needs and have a focus on improving people’s quality of life. The ability to form effective partnerships and manage relationships with colleagues, external partners, and other key stakeholders is a critical part of these roles.
Excellent report writing skills, combined with strong analytical ability, mean that you will be able to interpret complex information and translate it into clear proposals aimed at driving improvements within our commissioned services and support.
With your planning and organisational skills and clear focus on the delivery of key objectives to specified timescales, you will plan, develop and deliver change projects as directed by the Integrated Board Lead Officer.
