Job Description:
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about engineering and maintenance in a fast-paced baking environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment operate efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting our production team in meeting daily targets.
The working shifts are a 4 on 4 off working days 06:00 – 18:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for improvement in processes and equipment.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer, preferably within the food and preferably the baking industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
