The Sportsmens Rest at Shenley Leisure Centre is looking to recruit experienced, reliable, hardworking Support Bar Assistants to join our team for evening and weekend shifts.
- Due to licensing laws, only candidates aged 18 or over can be considered for the role.
About Us:
Our friendly bar serves the leisure centre customers and the local community. We are a great venue for meeting friends, holding functions & events, watching live sport, bands and quizzes.
The Role:
The hours are between 16.30- 23.30 during the week, between 9.00-23.30 on Saturdays and between 12.00-23.00 Sundays along with any others hours that may be required. We're looking for people that have previous bar experience, excellent customer service skills with a good work ethic whilst also being able to work on your own and a team player.
- The ideal candidate may already have employment and want to top up their income with extra shifts with us? Reliability and a friendly attitude with a good work ethic is essential.
As a member of staff you will have access to a gym and all our other leisure facilities plus discounted bar purchases. You will also be signed up to an Employee Assistance Programme and have access to over 45 online courses.
Salary: From £10.85 per hour depending on age and experience up to £12.75per hour. The hours can be discussed at interview or for more information please call 01908 502488 and ask for the Bar Manager.
Experience/Availability:
- Due to licensing laws, and as you will be serving alcohol this position is for people aged 18 or over.
- Previous bar/hospitality experience is essential.
- Must be able to meet DBS requirements.
- Must be able to work weekends.

The more areas you're able to be trained in to help further your development and provide more opportunities for any extra hours that may become available. This can be discussed at interview or when you are fully bar trained.
