Join our dedicated home care team as a Domiciliary Care Assistant, supporting individuals across Ruthin, Denbigh, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Holywell, Saltney and nearby communities. This role is essential in helping people remain independent in their own homes while receiving compassionate, personalised care.
As a community‑based carer, you will travel door‑to‑door throughout these areas, providing vital support that promotes dignity, comfort, and well‑being. Whether assisting with daily living tasks or offering emotional reassurance, you will play a key part in empowering clients to live confidently and safely at home.
Duties
- Personal Care Support — Deliver tailored personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Daily Living Assistance — Support clients with routines such as meal preparation, household tasks, and maintaining independence according to individual care plans.
- Companionship & Emotional Support — Build positive relationships, reduce loneliness, and provide reassurance during visits.
- Medication Support — Offer medication reminders and basic health monitoring as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Accurate Documentation — Maintain clear records of care provided, update care plans, and complete incident reports in line with compliance requirements.
- Effective Communication — Liaise with clients, families, colleagues, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless, safe care delivery.
- Community Travel — Use your driving skills to travel door‑to‑door across Ruthin, Denbigh, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Holywell, Saltney and surrounding areas.
- Client Transport (When Required) — Safely transport clients to appointments or social activities.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in domiciliary care or care home settings is beneficial but not essential — full training is provided.
- Strong English communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to use IT devices for documentation and communication.
- Valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are mandatory due to the community‑based nature of the role.
