We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our new nursery. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong understanding of child development. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and creating a nurturing environment for children.
Working 4 days a week 7.30am to 6.30pm or 8am to 6pm

Deputy Manager Duties
- Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care and education.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes children's learning and development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, as well as staff performance.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and guardians, addressing any concerns or queries they may have.
- Organise staff training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance team skills.
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, including budgeting, resource management, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Collaborate with external agencies to support children with additional needs.
Deputy Manager Experience
- Previous experience in a managerial role within a nursery or early years setting is essential.
- A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 or above).
- Strong knowledge of child development theories and practices.
- Experience of SENCO responsibilities.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education.
