Looking for a part time or full time labourer, with potential for training in basic carpentry. Minimum 2 days per week, potential for up to 5.
We will be working primarily on lofts-floors, loft ladders, loft windows, loft ventilation, loft insulating. The projects will vary in frequency and length- some day we could do up to 5 projects in a day, other projects could take up to 3 days.
Your role includes:
Carrying materials
Clearing rubbish into the van or skip
Hovering & cleaning up
Getting out and putting tools away
Keeping the van organised
Helping pick up materials from builders merchants
Helping build the loft floors
Helping install the loft ladders
Helping to make the architraves and caulking around them
Requirements for the job:
Polite and professional towards customers
Physically fit enough to carry awkward materials up stairs without causing damage to the property
Ability to learn and follow instructions
Location:
The yard is based near Slough which we go to most mornings depending on the projects, but projects will be in and around the greater London area.
Ideally you'll be based somewhere close to Slough or on the outskirts of West or North London. If you do not have your own transport I can pick you up en route or we can arrange a rendezvous point for me to collect you.
Pay can be arranged through the Construction Industry Scheme.
