The Role
We are looking for a confident and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team based at our Head Office in Rodley, Leeds.
This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day finance function across the Group. You will work across sales ledger, banking, stock accounting, reconciliations and month-end activities, helping to ensure accurate financial information and strong financial controls.

What You Will Be Doing
- Managing the accounts receivable process from invoicing through to cash allocation and reconciliation.
- Reconciling bank accounts and multiple payment platforms including credit cards, Klarna and PayPal.
- Supporting credit control activities and maintaining customer accounts.
- Processing and controlling stock transactions within our ERP system.
- Assisting with stock reconciliations and stock valuations across multiple sites.
- Preparing accruals, prepayments and month-end reconciliations.
- Processing and reconciling intercompany transactions.
- Producing financial analysis and supporting ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects, including the implementation of a new ERP system.
What We're Looking For
- AAT qualified or part-qualified.
- Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Good organisational and analytical skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- A proactive and positive approach to problem solving.
We are more interested in attitude, attention to detail and the ability to learn than a long list of qualifications.
