Castle is situated next to St Nicholas Primary school, benefitting from a school-based setting for our Preschoolers and a purpose-built nursery building for our babies and toddlers. This is a truly caring and special place, cherished by the many families and colleagues connected to it.
We're looking for:
- Energy and enthusiasm both in the early mornings and at the end of the day working long days from 7.30am-6pm 3 days per week.
- Put the needs of the little people above their own, offering patience, kindness and compassion.
- Getting down on the floor and play with the children embracing the fun and learning in every situation whether that be in the rain, mud or wind.
- Keen to learn by engaging in the academic part of the apprenticeship engaging with either an online on in-person college, completing assignments and meeting with a tutor.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in a nursery setting.
- Support early childhood education activities and facilitate learning through play.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a nurturing environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance childcare skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with senior staff to implement management strategies and leadership practices.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and parents
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
