Poulton Cabs are looking for a motivated, hard working individual to join our team. This role requires someone who is very flexible and able to cover shifts at short notice. The position of Telephone Operator will be based at our office in Poulton le Fylde.
This role will part time plus holiday cover between Monday to Sunday. We operate on various shift patterns so some unsociable working hours are required on certain shifts. You will be working in a secure office environment using our in-house dispatch system. .
You will need to be organised, have an excellent telephone manner and a great customer service attitude, you must be a good team member but confident to work alone and use your own initiative. You must be reliable, good at working under pressure at peak times and be confident to operate a computerised system. You must be able to work under pressure in a calm, professional manner.
Main tasks will include taking and dealing with booking and enquiries over the phone, taking payments, providing quotes, dispatching work to drivers, maintaining the office and communicating with customers and drivers efficiently and professionally.
Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
