We have an exciting new role to join our fixing team. It’s a great opportunity to join a family run business that has over 200 years of experience as memorial stone masons. If you are someone who likes to work outdoors, where no 2 days are the same, then this could be the role for you. It’s an exciting opportunity to learn a trade that has been handed down by generations.
We design and fix all different types of stone memorials across London and the Home Counties. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the assembly and installation of various memorials, ensuring that all fittings meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Key duties and requirements include:
- Driving trucks to and from various cemeteries across Hertfordshire, Essex and London
- Fitting new memorials to the highest quality – full training will be given
- Removing existing memorials to enable graves to be dug for funerals
- Cleaning and renovating old memorials.
- Working with 1 or more team mates to assure a perfect finish to any memorial we work on.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members and management.
- Forklift driving – training given
- Various yard duties
- You will need a full and clean driving licence
