Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy establishment. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas, to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety regulations and standards
- Manage the entire customer experience, from greeting guests to resolving any issues promptly
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance to maintain high service standards
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation across all areas of the restaurant
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and control costs to optimise profitability
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas
- Implement training programmes for staff development in culinary techniques, customer service, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality ingredients are available for food production
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on dishes based on culinary trends and customer preferences
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working atmosphere
- Extensive restaurant experience with a solid understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is highly desirable
- Experience in managing food production processes in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Previous roles may include chef supervision, hotel management, or barista experience demonstrating leadership qualities
