Head Door Supervisor – Barbara's Bier Haus, Southampton
£18.00 per hour | Weekly Pay | 35+ Hours per Week
Bridgegate Security is recruiting an experienced Head Door Supervisor to lead the security operation at the brand new Barbara's Bier Haus Southampton.
Barbara's Bier Haus has quickly built a reputation for creating some of the UK's most exciting late night hospitality venues to visit, combining live entertainment, live sport, great music, and a vibrant atmosphere. This new Southampton venue is expected to become one of the city's premier nightlife destinations, and we're looking for an exceptional Head Door Supervisor to help build and lead the security team from day one.
This role would suit an established Head Door Supervisor or an experienced Deputy Head Door Supervisor who is already operating at that level and is ready to take the next step into a flagship venue.
The Role
- Lead and manage the door team, setting standards through visible leadership
- Take overall responsibility for the security operation during each shift
- Make confident decisions regarding admissions, refusals, and ejections
- Oversee searches, age verification, and queue management
- Respond professionally to incidents while maintaining excellent customer service
- Build a positive working relationship with venue management and Bridgegate's Operations team
- Ensure all incident reports, refusal logs, and relevant documentation are completed accurately
- Maintain a disciplined, professional, and accountable security team
What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
- Previous experience as a Head Door Supervisor, or an experienced Deputy Head Door ready to step up
- Strong leadership skills
- Calm, decisive, and professional under pressure
- Excellent communication and conflict management skills
- High standards of presentation, organisation, and reliability
- A genuine desire to develop and build a successful long term team
- Someone who enjoys what they do!
