Housekeeping & Estate Team Member
£15.75 per hour plus mileage allowance
Brunton House and Cottages is an award-winning 5* Gold holiday cottage business, set within the beautiful Fallodon Estate, 8 miles north of Alnwick near Embleton. We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable person to join our friendly, established team and help us maintain the exceptionally high standards our guests have come to expect.
We're a small, supportive team where everybody mucks in, looks out for one another and takes real pride in what we do. cAs a family-run business, the owners are very much involved too.
Our core requirement is for housekeeping on Mondays and Fridays, preparing our luxury holiday properties for arriving guests.
If you'd like additional hours, there is also the opportunity to work a third day (Thursday), combining holiday cottage changeovers with a variety of estate duties, including mowing, weeding and other seasonal outdoor tasks. This increases the role from a guaranteed 12 hours per week to approximately 20 hours over three days.
For the right person, there is also the opportunity to undertake regular companion hours with an 85-year-old lady living on the estate, providing company and practical support.
Although previous housekeeping experience would be an advantage, we're far more interested in finding someone who takes pride in their work, has an excellent eye for detail, works hard and enjoys being part of a team.
You'll have a positive, can-do attitude and be equally happy working independently or alongside colleagues. You'll be able to work efficiently to deadlines and be comfortable receiving constructive feedback. A good sense of humour is definitely a bonus!

- Approximately 9:15am until finish (between 3:15pm and our 4pm guest arrival time)
Optional Thursday
- Housekeeping and a variety of estate duties 9:15am until finish
Essential requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Reliable, punctual and happy working as part of a close-knit team.
- Comfortable working both independently and alongside colleagues.
- References required.
Please note
Brunton is in a beautiful rural location but there is no public transport serving the estate, so your own reliable transport is essential.
Ideally, you'll live within around a 15-mile radius of NE66 3HQ.
